Trust the Process

Be Patient

Most people I know that lift weights aren’t patient. They want results now, now, now. But the results will come as long as you put in the work. Too many times I find that people take a lot of time off and then get back in the gym and get frustrated because they are not seeing the results fast enough. It will come just give it time. The body works from the inside out. So you will notice changes little by little. I try to tell my clients to give it about three months to really see any true results. I promise you that it will come. If you give it your honest effort and consistency you will see results. I believe the key to any success is sticking with it. Don’t give up because the work is getting hard or the days are getting longer, or the nights are getting colder. Stick with it and you will get through it. By studying to be a health and wellness coach I am beginning to understand and realize how much people need positive, reassurance and positive self-talk. If we forgive ourselves and accept ourselves for who we are, we can get through anything. We have to realize to trust in ourselves and our own ability as the process, not the problem. If we know that our bodies are a work in progress we will see results soon, than we can start to put the work in and not be so hard on ourselves. When we add stress to ourselves like that it just makes the work ten times harder. If you are already going into the gym to lift heavy weights or do a big cardio session than why would you want to add ten times more weight to yourself? Just relax, go to the gym or go outside have a great workout and the results will come!

As always, I hope you all have a happy and healthy life!
