So this blog post is about what I use for inspiration and motivation. I know it’s hard to stay motivated and keep inspired about your fitness and nutrition journey. However, it can be done and be done in the right ways and with the right mindset. I use YouTube videos, motivational speakers and journaling to accomplish my goals. I will list the people that inspire me and links to their websites, videos, or articles so you too can stay on track and accomplish your goals as well. My job for writing these posts is to help you along the way and to set you up for success. I feel that at 51 years old…………….yes I’m 51 but I have been doing this for a long time! I feel that I have reached a point where I can give back what the fitness and nutrition industry has given me. I would love to help you reach your goals and to get you headed in the right direction. If you need further help and want my assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Now let’s see what I use to stay on track in life and health. I believe these people are the best people to follow for fitness and to stay motivated and to get some really great ideas. Most of these people use science, like I do, to back up what they talk about and what they do. It’s been proven to work and it shows! I haven’t created a You Tube video channel yet but it’s in the works.

Besides these videos and people to help me I also use journaling, meditation, and scheduling, planning to keep me on track to reach my goals. I will briefly describe each one and what I have used or currently use to help me.
Journaling
I use journaling to help me with my thoughts, ideas, and to stay positive. There are many studies that explain how journaling helps to stay positive, reduce anxiety, regulates emotions, and creates awareness. I have written a lot of things over the years some of which is lost in notebooks, napkins, or scrap paper. I carry a little notebook with me to write down my ideas, thoughts, and info I think I will need later.
Meditation
I am not good at meditating but I try. I guess there isn’t a right way or wrong way just as long as you do it. It has a lot of benefits and it has been proven time and again that meditation will help with anxiety, depression, mood, health, and aging. I just sit quietly, listen to some relaxing music on my tablet or phone and try to gather my thoughts.
Scheduling/Planning
I have put scheduling and planning together because they are similar and kind of go hand in hand. I schedule or plan everything. If you watch some of the motivational speakers or people I mention above, they are all planners. If you want to accomplish something schedule it in your calendar. Write it down and you will be more apt to get it done! I put in my calendar to work on my boat, grocery store, kids schedule, what I need to cook for dinner, to when and what I need to clean in the house. Try it for 30 days and see if you get more accomplished.
I hope this post helps you in your journey to greatness! Try doing these things for at least 30 days to see if you like it, you accomplish more, or just for something new to try and maybe you’ll be surprised to see it might work! Get motivated, get inspired and have fun along the way. I hope you can get motivated and inspired like I did with the videos I have mentioned here. They truly are very good and have a lot of information to help you in your professional life and personal life. I know I am a better person, have accomplished more, and healthier due to these videos and the people in them.
Thank you for reading my Blog and I hope this helps. Again, if there is anything I can do please let me know I would love to hear from you! Stay happy and healthy.
Take Care,
Darren
