Welcome to my blog! I love talking about success, mindset, mental toughness and focus. The mind is a powerful thing and it all boils down to having the right mindset to accomplish your dreams. With the right mindset, you can get through the tough times and the negative talk from nonbelievers, and work hard for the things you want. Let’s find out what these mindsets are and start accomplishing our goals!
What are the Mindsets?
These Mindsets are based on research that began with one simple question: What do the world’s happiest and most successful people have in common? The research revealed that the answer wasn’t related to things such as gender, ethnicity, or where they lived in the world. It also had nothing to do with being raised in a loving home or a broken one, their socioeconomic status, or how far they went in school. In fact, it turns out that the commonalities of happiness and success are based on a set of seven mental habits foundational to an enriched life. These mental habits are even being taught in some elementary schools across the country because of their impact on the success of school aged children. These mental habits are:
- Everything is Possible
- Passion First
- We Are Connected
- Attitude of Gratitude
- 100% Accountable
- Live to Give
- The Time is Now
There is an old saying “Success isn’t about how others view you, it’s about how you view yourself” -anonymous. So, with the right mindset you can define success from the inside out mentality. There are a few ways to do this and with practice you will learn to have the confidence and self-esteem you need to achieve your goals.
How to Make the Most of it?
My philosophy for a growth mindset is when you have the mentality where you embrace challenges and believe in your ability to learn as you go (and that you’ll learn from failure). Now this is the opposite of a fixed mindset. A fixed mindset is where you worry about failing, looking badly and/or being criticized by others. It is where you don’t take risks or believe in your ability and you don’t trust in yourself.
So just so you understand more clearly, a mental mindset isn’t just about a belief or attitude, it is much deeper than that. A mental mindset is about how confident you are in your abilities and the value you place on yourself (also known as self-esteem).
Here’s how a growth mindset will help you to make the most out of your personal life:
Having a growth mindset allows you to “embrace the power” of having or living a ‘not yet’ life because the focus here is on learning and growing not on how you look to others.
So in other words, it’s not about winning and losing, it’s about having the knowledge to know that you’re learning and growing as a person and you will make mistakes but it’s how you handle those mistakes and don’t dwell on them….move on! Just imagine for a moment how this mental mindset would change how you perceive yourself, or your achievements, or failures, or even how you perceive other people and the world around you.
“Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle”– Napoleon Hill
So, the 7 mental mindset habits are really something to look into. There are other ones depending on what you Google, but they are all basically the same. I have watched numerous YouTube videos on positivity, mental mindset, and showing gratitude toward others and what you have. With this mental toughness, you can accomplish you dreams, goals, and be a happier, healthier person. Because in the end it’s about being a good person not only to yourself, but also to the world around you!
I hope this little bit of positivity and info will get you started on the right path of being positive, going after your goals and accomplishing your dreams. If you ever need help with any of these things, please let me know. I am always here to help you with your goals and to live a happier, healthier life. Until next time.
Take Care,
Darren
