Morning Routine Makes A Difference

Hello, and welcome to my blog! So how many of you wake up early to get things done? Do you have a special routine? Well, there are several studies done to prove getting up early is the best thing for you to succeed. The early bird really does get the worm! You not only succeed in life, but you also succeed financially, spiritually, in health, and relationships. I love getting up early, but I never had a plan or never knew why I was getting up, now I do and let me explain.

I recently came across this book called The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. It is a complete game changer. So basically, The Miracle Morning is a 6-step morning routine to change your life by using what is called the LIFE SAVERS. This stands for Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing (journaling). If you wish to create the levels of personal, professional, and financial success you desire, you must first dedicate the time each day to becoming the person you want to be.

How you wake up each day along with your morning routine (or lack thereof) dramatically affects your levels of success in every area of your life, as mentioned above.

The Miracle Morning is about recreating the experience of waking up feeling energized and excited, and doing it every-single-day of your life—for the rest of your life.

Here is the 5 step-snooze proof strategy to help you in the mornings. Even if you’re not a morning person.

  1. Set Your Intentions Before Bed. Create genuine excitement for the next morning every night before bed. What you think about before you go to bed is what you think about when you wake up.
  2. Move Your Alarm Clock Across The Room. This forces you to get out of bed and engage your body in movement. Motion creates energy, so when you get up and out of bed it naturally helps you wake up.
  3. Brush Your Teeth. Go directly to the bathroom sink to brush your teeth and splash some warm (or cold) water on your face.
  4. Drink a Full Glass of WaterHydrate yourself first thing every morning. Fill a glass of water the night before so it’s already there for you in the morning.
  5. Get Dressed or Jump In the Shower. Either get dressed in your exercise clothes, so you’re ready to leave your bedroom and immediately engage in your Miracle Morning or jump in the shower.

This is only a small list of ideas (but came from the book) to keep you from hitting the snooze button. I personally don’t hit the snooze button so; I don’t use any of these. These are mainly for non-morning people who are trying this for the first time. If you have any other ways that work for you, please feel free to use them.

The rest of the SAVERS is as follows.

  1. S is for Silence, this is a way to use silence to practice meditation, prayer, reflection, deep breathing, or gratitude.
  2. A is for Affirmation. Use affirmations to start programming your mind and yourself to be confident and successful in everything you do. With enough repetition, your subconscious mind will begin to believe what you tell it, act upon it, and eventually manifest it in your reality. It is proven that your mind does not know this difference between reality and imagination.
  3. V is for visualization. Visualization is the process of imagining exactly what you want to achieve or attain, and then mentally rehearsing what you’ll need to do to achieve or attain it. Directly after reading your affirmations, is the prime time to visualize yourself living in alignment with your affirmations. Start with just five minutes of visualization.
  4. E is for Exercise. Any morning exercise routine should be a staple in your life. When you exercise, even for just a few minutes, it boosts energy, enhances your health, and improves self-confidence.
  5. R is for Reading.  Reading is one of the most immediate methods for acquiring the knowledge, ideas, and strategies you need to achieve success in any area of your life. The key is to learn from the experts. The fastest way to achieve everything you want is to model successful people who have already achieved it. Make a commitment to read a minimum of 10 pages per day.
  6. S is for Scribing. Scribing=Writing (journaling). Writing enables you to document your insights, ideas, realizations, successes, and lessons learned, as well as any areas of opportunity, personal growth, or improvement. There are many formats such as apps, paper, traditional, or digital.

“Jim Carrey wrote himself a check in 1987 in the amount of 10 million dollars, and gave himself the end date of Thanksgiving 1995, with the memo line “For acting services rendered.” He then visualized it for years, and was paid 10 million dollars in 1994 (1 year early) for his starring role in Dumb and Dumber.”

There are numerous ways to visualize, meditate, exercise, and journal, but if you read this book and follow his plan you will be on your way to success. I have been doing it for a while now and I can speak from experience that it works. I look at life differently, I have a gratitude journal so I can write down everything I am thankful for and what I am happy for along with my affirmations. I bought it off Amazon. There are several of them to choose from so just get one that fits you. As mentioned earlier, I have been getting up early for years, but I was just getting up without a plan and just drinking my coffee and waiting until others got up so I could start breakfast. Now I get up with a plan, a purpose, and a goal for my life, for me to succeed and to have the life I want. I believe you could do the same. Let me know if you have bought the book or are an early riser. I would love to hear you stories and find out what has worked for you. Please let me know if I can be any help with your health and wellness journey. I am taking on new clients starting August 1st. I will be taking on 3 clients.
